The prayer rally is a gathering of Leni-Kiko supporters, peace-loving and concerned citizens, and 1Sambayan members and volunteers to pray together for a clean, honest election and for justice and peace in the Philippines.
A symbolic blessing and sending-off of pink phone brigades will highlight the event.
1Sambayan urges kababayans to continue to call their families and friends here and in the Philippines to vote for Leni-Kiko and the eight 1Sambayan senatorial candidates to ensure “TAPAT NA PAMUMUNO”.
As the campaign season reaches its first month, irregularities are already documented. In early February, videos of overzealous COMELEC and PNP personnel went viral in different social media platforms as they took down Leni-Kiko campaign posters and tarpaulins. This “operation baklas” took place without permission of the owners of the private property, without prior notice or hearing, and without any warrant.
1Sambayan joins fellow Filipinos in condemning and protesting the COMELEC’s “operation baklas”. It supports the call to fight back against the unconstitutional act and to continue to paint pink murals, posters, and tarpaulins.
